A fun Saturday

Our Saturdays usually all start out the same. We all get up and Tim makes us breakfast...usually something homemade...such a chef he is. Depending on what the weather is like, we plan out our day. It was beautiful this last Saturday, however, I wasn't feeling the best and Tim had to study. We did get out a little later in the day though. Below are some pictures from the relaxing evening we spent at home.

...just having fun with the camera...

I'm already to go swimming mom and dad... Tess went into our room and found my swimming top. She managed to put it on all by herself.
Eating ice cream...and licking the bowl ...She did not learn that part from me... :-)

All those curls...

It's been fun being able to put Tessa's curly hair up in ponytails, clips, and bows. She never leaves them in for long, but we're working on that.

Saying goodbye to summer

Today ended up being a gorgeous day. We woke up to clouds...but they didn't stick around for long. Days like today have been a little rare this summer. We took full advantage of the sun today!!!!

Tess and I went on a long walk this afternoon. We walked down to one of her favorite parks.

Enjoying the ride...and mommy's juice.

Tess and I playing on the teeter totter.
Summer shadows will soon be a thing of the past...well, until next summer anyways.

So, with all of the walks we take, we sometimes find silly yard ornaments. I must say...this one tops the cake!

Day trip to Bellingham

Last week we took a day trip up to Bellingham. It was beautiful and warm, which was a treat considering the cold rain when we left home to head up there.

Tim and I love to boat watch. We walked along the water front and watched several big sail boats leave the marina.

I think Tessa likes to boat watch too...
"I want to play in the water mommy..."

Leavenworth

While we were in Wenatchee, we took a day trip up to Leavenworth. I guess growing up in E. Washington, I would take places like Chelan, Mission Ridge, Leavenworth, and the Gorge all for granted. Now having lived on the West side for almost 8 years, I miss being able to get in the car whenever I want and driving to those spots. We had a great time walking around all of the shops, eating German food, drinking a German beer, and people watching.

I love all of the old buildings down town. They all have such character. This was the old building we enjoyed our fabulous German lunch in.

When I was young, my favorite store in Leavenworth was the wooden toy shop. Turns out, Tess loves it too.
The restaurant we had lunch in was very good, not to mention very decorated.

We couldn't leave without a trip to the Hat Shop. I think we had more fun than Tess did in this store!

Labor Day Weekend...a little late

For Labor Day weekend this year, we went over to Wenatchee to see my parents. We had a lot of fun as usual. Tess loved spending time with her aunts and uncle and visiting with grandma and grandpa.

Eating out....she had some chocolate before her lunch...not that you can tell or anything.
