Tim's first Fathers Day

Tim's first Fathers Day was spent in North Dakota. Unfortunatly, he had to work on his labs in the afternoon. Tessa woke her daddy up early and helped me make him breakfast. She also got her daddy a new gun to help keep those boys away in a few years. :-)

Life in North Dakota

This week has been a crazy busy week for us all. Tim is going to school.....LOTS of school, I've been trying to get all of our housing, permits, UND stuff in order, and Tessa has been going through a growth spurt. Tim is doing amazing with school...just two more weeks, and he's officially DONE! Tess has been learning lots of new things this week. She is making all sorts of new sounds and smiling a TON. She has been pushing and holding her head up and is moving her legs. She'll move some, but not far. She loves playing with her hands. She also likes playing with her ears while she eats...and no it's not an ear infection. She can't get enough of her bright starts play center. She loves it! While being here in North Dakota has been pretty good so far, we can't wait to get home!

Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota

The last three days have been pretty busy. We have been traveling, by car, to North Dakota so that Tim can finish up his engineering degree. I was a bit worried about traveling with a 2 month old baby, but Tessa did very good! We left about 8pm Thursday night. Tim drove 19 hours straight. We stopped at rest stops along the way to change and feed Tess. We stayed in Dickenson, ND on Friday night. Tessa woke up at 2am and decided she didn't want to go back to sleep. We thought since we were up anyways, we might as well hit the road again. We arrived in Grand Forks, ND at about 10am Saturday morning. We are staying in temporary housing located on the college campus. I was a bit worried about the college housing, but it's really not that bad....probably because it's the summer quarter. The campus is really pretty, but our furnished apartment looks like it came straight out of the 80's....see pics above. It will do just fine for the next three weeks.

Today we went on a long walk around the campus and drove over to Minnesota, which is just across the river....just so we could say we've been there. All in all we are having a good time. It's not a vacation, but so far it has been a fun adventure!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Calkins

This last week great grandma and grandpa came up from Arizona and got to visit with their great granddaughter. Tessa enjoyed having great grandma hold and talk to her. It was so fun to see my grandparents! We can't wait to take Tessa down to Arizona to see them again....and for a little sunshine.
