Three Years!!!!

September 30th will be our 3rd wedding anniversary. We celebrated this weekend up in Chelan. Tess got to spend the night at grandma and grandpa's house. It was the first time we have left her over night, so we were a little nervous at first....well, I was nervous. She did great though. We spent the day touring wineries and wine tasting. For dinner we went to a fun new restaurant called the Bamboo Shoot. It's a thai restaurant and they cook the food right in front of you. Chelan is beautiful this time of the year and in was so relaxing to get away with my wonderful husband for the weekend! It's been an incredible three years.....here's to 50 more!

Patients

One of my week points is patients...it always has been. This morning I was asked what is one thing that has changed you for the good in becoming a mom. My answer....patients. Since having had Tess I have become a more patient person....I still have a long way to go. Before Tess, I would get impatient with crying babies in restaurants....now it makes me smile. Before Tess, I would get impatient with mom's in line at the store who took "forever" because they had kids who wanted to help unload the cart....now I just lean back and think about Tess helping me someday. So many little things that used to bug me or cause me to be impatient no longer matter. I'm still impatient with other things. That's why this is the verse I picked for this week. This verse helps to remind me that I still need to work at being a patient person.

A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. Proverbs 15:18

Using a big girl cup....

Tessa had her 6th month check up today. She's a healthy happy baby and growing so big. She weighs 14lbs 9.5oz and is just shy of 26 inches tall....still growing like a weed. The Dr. told us that she is ready to start using a sippy cup. So, tonight when we got home, we had her try. To my surprise, she got the hang of it pretty fast.

For the longest time Tess has hated her tummy time...and I mean hated! However, this last week or so, she has really started to enjoy it. She has also started to bring her legs up and push herself forward....ready or not here she comes. She is determined to crawl. She definitely has both dad and mom's type "A" stubborn personality! When she can't get to her toys she gets mad and tries even harder. It's pretty cute to watch.

It's amazing how fast they change. She seems to learn something new everyday. Every moment is so precious. One of my favorite saying is Carpe Diem (seize the day) it is so true when you have a little one.

I know I just posted a picture the other day of Tess trying to eat her feet, but I thought this one was pretty cute too. She, seriously, can't get enough of her feet....it's pretty funny!

5 1/2 months

Our little angel is almost to the 6th month mark. Just a few more weeks. She is growing so fast and changing every day! Here are a few pics I took during playtime.
